clustering communities & tracing new topologies on the Internet

[...] Search history files, popularity rankings, data mining, non indexed pages, .. provide a better understanding of the nature of information in Internet. These data are part of a collective memory of the Web, and are strong elements of an historiography. Due to aggressive methods based on competition and overbid, the trading companies hide the data they artificially own to create a situation of monopoly, in the aim of monitoring the users and controlling the network to value their position.
For the user, the data he creates and sends on Internet remain almost totally fragmented and useless. Either it do not belong to him, or simply he cannot access to it..
We propose to relay informations stored in search history files, bookmarks, web queries … to create a network of peers linked to each other and sharing their data together, clustered in communities of shared interests, participating freely in the construction of a collective and distributed knowledge. We believe that these communities will open new topologies, unknown to the main search engines data bases of the proprietary and centralized networks, in which results will be more complex, more diversified and more dynamic.

The Visualisation of informations

The Visualization of information is a meta language which contains the information as well as a discourse on this information; its representativeness (what is it represented, how and why) It is a visual experience and it transform in a display the question of time and granularity of the given information. It provides the user a possibility to interact with the displayed information, as well as a new kind of understanding (visually and sensitively); Informations are displayed in a 3 or 4D environment when they often are beyond these limits and then invisible to the human eye. The visual display of the networks and their topologies are part of this exploration.
In the network, the peer will be able to navigate in a visual interface, made of 3 or 4D dynamic environment and mappings that will be updated periodically: A visual representation of the reticular and dynamic structures of the network.

Créer des communautés & tracer de nouvelles topologies sur Internet

Application
Les données circulant sur Internet constituent pour une part la mémoire collective du Web. Elles servent à comprendre la nature et la provenance des informations et participent également à l'évolution d'une historiographie. Pour ces entreprises, la captation, l'analyse et la non-divulgation de ces données du réseau va renforcer leur position,jusqu'à créer des situations de monopoles. Par leur position et par les informations qu'elles détiennent sans les divulguer, elles peuvent r tracer les utilisateurs, et contrôler le réseau -- voire dans le futur, le manipuler ?
Pour l'utilisateur, ces données qu'il crée et qu'il envoie sur le réseau restent totalement fragmentaires voir inutilisables et ne lui appartiennent tout simplement pas, ou il n'y a pas accès.

Nous proposons de restituer ces informations; les historiques de recherches, les liens, les adresses URL, les analyses de contenus dans un réseau public distribué, dans lequel les pairs ( les utilisateurs consentants et membres du réseau) s'échangent leurs informations dans un esprit coopératif, organisés en communautés d'intérêts partagés, collaborant à la construction d'un savoir collectif distribué.
Nous postulons que ces communautés ouvriront de nouvelles topologies, des alternatives à celles que veulent bien nous restituer les réseaux centralisés, et dont les résultats seront plus dynamiques; plus complexes et plus diversifiés.

La visualisation des informations
La visualisation de l'information est un méta-langage qui contient l'information et un discours sur l'information(sa représentativité). elle traduit en une représentation les rapports de temps et de granularité de l'information, elle offre une interaction avec l'information, elle transforme la connaissance en rendant visible des données qui sont souvent au delà des quatre dimensions visibles à l'oeil humain et donc compréhensibles.
La représentation visuelles des réseaux et de leurs topologies fait partie de cette exploration.
Par défaut, les pairs pourront naviguer dans une interface graphique du réseau; sous la forme d'un environnement dynamique cartographié et mis à jour périodiquement, une représentation visuelle des structures réticulaires et dynamiques des réseaux.
